Introduction:

Sheet and plate in AZ31B find application in medium strength service at temperatures below 150°C. Diverse uses including aerospace, aircraft, concrete tools, 3C (cell phone / camera / computer), speaker cones and textile machinery can all benefit from light weight AZ31B.
AZ31B is non-magnetic and has high electrical and thermal conductivity filling the requirements for RFI and EMI shielding in the electronics and computer industries.
Superplastic forming of AZ31B sheet at elevated temperatures allows production of a wide variety of intricate parts for automotive uses. Monocoque construction utilizing formed sheet can be adapted to many commercial applications.

Fabrication:
At room temperature, the plasticity of magnesium alloy is very low, and it is not suitable for cold rolling. Therefore, the board bands are hot and warm at a certain temperature. Magnesium alloys suitable for production plate belts include magnesium-manganese alloy (M2M, ME20M, etc.), magnesium-aluminum-zinc alloy (AZ31B, etc.), magnesium-lithium alloy (LA141, etc.), and pure magnesium. Magnesium and magnesium alloy thin plates refer to plate materials with a thickness of 0.8 ~ 10mm, and the aluminum alloy thin plate is a plate with thickness ≥0.2 ~ ≤6.0mm; the thickness of the magnesium alloy is a plate with a thickness of 10mm. At present, thermal squeezing is the primary plastic deformation processing process of Transformers. Like the squeezing of the Transformers aluminum alloy, the magnesium alloy extrusion material can be squeezed forward or reverse. For production, it can also be produced with dual -motion squeezers. It can be squeezed with a horizontal type or a stand -up extruder. In short, all equipment for squeezing-aluminum alloy semi-finished products can be used to produce magnesium alloy materials, but the process parameters are different, and the supporting equipment is different from the fine-telled equipment.
