The 1784-CF64 compact card is a Logic 556x industrial compact card made by AB. It is a Series A card with a data storage capacity of 64 MB. The card weighs 14.2 grams. It is used mostly with AB ControlLogix L6 controllers. It is an industrial storage unit. It provides non-volatile memory for the ControlLogix controller. The card is easy to install in a controller. The ControlLogix device should be fully free of voltage during the installation. The card should be added to the socket at the bottom of the controller. The 1784-CF64 card should have an operating temperature between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius and it can be stored at a temperature between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius. The card comes with an IEC rating for 4 kilovolts of contact discharges and 8 kilovolts of air discharges. The compact card comes certified by the C-Tick and CE standards.
The 1784-CF64 compact card offers a permanent backup solution when the battery fails in the ControlLogix device and the controllers. The card is used for transferring the application program and system Firmware between controllers in an easy way. The data in the CompactFlash card can be accessed for archiving and recipe handling. The ControlLogix controller offers efficient an environment with the programming software and the I/O modules it uses to meet different application demands. The controller provides a scalable solution which helps to address I/O points. The ControlLogix controllers are equipped with communication ports for direct connection with Ethernet-enabled devices and networks. The 1784-CF64 compact card should be kept away from electrostatic discharge and electromagnetic noise to increase the life of the memory card.
