Axle Seal
In a car, an axle seal is the part that seals the connection of a driveshaft (axle) to the
transmission or rear differential. The main purpose of an axle seal is to keep the
transmission fluid or differential oil from leaking out.
TKS provides a full range of shaft seals for axle applications. For car and heavy & light
truck as well as for heavy duty commercial vehicles. In their exposed locations beneath
the vehicle, contamination exclusion is key to a long seal life and TKS offers a range of
solutions addressing this issue.
The split shaft oil seal is installed in the split shaft of the axle to prevent the leakage of oil from the hyperbolic gear in the axle.
