Galvanic Rod Efficiancy
The current efficiency with our anodes is about 55 % in sea water. This gives approximately 1100 amp-h/kg. The potential of the alloy is approximately -1,55 volt relative a copper/copper sulphate half cell in seawater.

Usage
The corrosion of metal in salt or fresh water or in soil can be prevented by the use of galvanic anodes in a cathodic protection system. Magnesium anodes are used in such systems, most commonly to protect underground gas, oil and water pipelines.
