Description
The PS Plate, widely utilized in the commercial printing industry, offers numerous advantages to printers. It comprises a thin aluminum sheet coated with a photosensitive layer on its surface. When exposed to UV light, the photosensitive layer undergoes a chemical reaction, creating image areas that attract ink while repelling water. This property allows the non-image areas to remain hydrophilic and not attract ink.
To create a print using a PS Plate, the plate is first exposed to UV light, which initiates the chemical reaction and forms the image areas. The unexposed portions of the photosensitive layer are then removed through processing, leaving only the image areas on the plate.
One of the primary advantages of the PS Plate is its versatility. It can be utilized with both water-based and oil-based inks, making it suitable for printing on various materials such as paper, cardboard, and plastics. Additionally, the PS Plate allows for the production of highly detailed and accurate prints, making it a reliable and efficient method for achieving high-quality print results.
