The process of a dairy production plant begins with the receipt of raw milk from a dairy farm. Raw milk arrives via insulated tankers and is unloaded into collection tanks before processing. The measurement of raw milk delivered to the dairies confirms not only the quantity of milk to be processed, but also the quality of the fat percentage. Ideally, the system would also measure the density and temperature of milk simultaneously. This allows the quality of raw milk to be verified before shipping to plant storage tanks.
