Surface Set Diamond Core Bits are the drilling bits which a single layer of industrial natural diamonds is mounted on the matrix as the working surface for the required purpose. Therefore, compared to the Impregnated Diamond Core Bits, the matrix is extremely hard for holding the diamonds in postion throughtout the bit life.

Manufactuered Surface Set Diamond Core Bits provide the highest quality They are highly recommended for the soft to medium hard, abrasive, uncosoildated formations, and for those projects which the timing is on the top of the priority list. Some special designed Suface Set bits are also recommended for hard formations with a lower rotational speed and bit load.
