Purpose

A. Illuminate the dust footprint with natural white light

The footprint lamp outputs natural light. When the light is output at an angle close to the ground, the smooth ground reflects the incident light directionally, and dust reflects the incident light diffusely. Observe the ground in a direction deflected from the mirror reflection direction of the ground, then the strong contrast between the dark ground and the bright dust footprint can be seen.

B. Illuminate the dust footprint with polarized light

Insert the polaroid into the jack above the footprint lamp, which then outputs polarized light. The polarization direction of the polarized light is perpendicular to the ground. The intensity of the internally reflected light of the ground is greatly reduced, which significantly improves the contrast of the dust footprint.

C. Illuminate the dust footprint with red, orange, yellow, green and blue light

If the background of the dust footprint is multi-colored, insert barrier filters of red, orange, yellow, green and blue into the jack above the footprint lamp, which then outputs red, orange, yellow, green and blue light. Under different colors of light, the footprint will show different contrast, choose an ideal contrast for photography.

Structural features

The footprint lamp is flat and square. The light emitted by the linearly arranged LED lamp beads at the front passes through the semi-cylindrical lens and becomes a flat light beam. There is a long opening above the front of the semi-cylindrical lens. Through this opening, polaroid can be inserted in front of the lens to output polarized light; or, barrier filters can be inserted to output light of different colors.

Features

A. The footprint lamp outputs flat light that is projected on the wall to form a light spot, which has two features: 1. the spot width is small (110cm wide at a distance of 100mm); 2. the edge of the spot is neat.

B. If the light spot is too wide or the edge of the spot is irregular, the ground-reflected light will produce a lot of stray light. The mixing of the stray light and the diffuse reflection light of the dust will seriously weaken the contrast between the dust and the ground.

C. If the light spot's width is small and the edge of the spot is neat, the ground-reflected light mainly concentrates in the direction of mirror reflection, and little stray light with uncertain direction is formed, so the contrast between dust and the ground is very strong.

Working principle

The footprint lamp outputs high-intensity flat light. When the light is output at an angle close to the ground, the smooth ground reflects the incident light directionally, and dust reflects the incident light diffusely. Observe the ground in a direction deflected from the mirror reflection direction of the ground, then the strong contrast between the dark ground and the bright dust footprint can be seen.

Instructions

A. Place the footprint lamp 50cm from the dust footprint and turn on the switch. The footprint lamp outputs flat light to illuminate the footprint on the ground. Along the direction of the light, try to reduce the height of the eye to observe the ground, and a good contrast of the footprint can be seen.

B. Against the direction of the light, try to reduce the height of the eye to observe the ground, and a good contrast of the footprint can be seen at a height just avoiding the reflection spot.

C. Adjust the lamp-footprint distance and the elevation angle of the light outlet until a footprint with ideal contrast is seen.

D. Turn the switch to adjust the brightness.

E. Insert the polaroid into the long opening above the front of the footprint lamp and observe the contrast of the footprint.

F. Insert red, orange, yellow, green and blue barrier filters into the long opening above the front of the footprint lamp and observe the contrast of the footprint.
