Laminated veneer lumber (LVL)is a structural product manufactured from thin rotary peeled veneers of wood usually 3mm thick, glued with a durable adhesive with the grain running parallel to the main axis of the member.

These panels have excellent bending resistance, tension and compression properties and greater load-bearing capacity than traditional materials.

LVL can be used for horizontal and vertical solutions, providing a dimensional precision which gives architects greater design possibilities.

Good for long spans,with minimal deflection, LVL is ideal for roof/floor joists and lintel/framework studs, both in new build and renovation, where strength is needed. The timber that LVL is manufactured from comes from sustainably managed forests.

GenerallyLVL is chosen when sawn timber is not strong enough to support the structural, or longer lengths are needed.
