Silicone Rubber Sleeves are made by coating woven fiberglass with high-performance silicone rubber, which is extremely flexible with exceptional toughness and abrasion resistance. In addition to having a 200°C rating, its -73°C brittle point suggests it can be used in a wide range of applications requiring resistance to extreme temperatures.

Features:

Thermal: acceptable for continuous service from -70°C through 200°C. Operation at temperatures up to 315°C is tolerated for short durations.

It is resistant to moisture, corona, ozone, radiation, compression set, fungus, most chemicals and solvents, weathering, flexure fatigue, and heat degradation.

 

Application:

silicone rubber bushings are used in appliances, motors, and generators as well as automotive, marine, and aircraft electrical and electronic components such as transformers, coils, relays, etc. that require a 200°C thermal rating. In addition to being ideal for heavy-duty insulation in high-temperature environments such as die-casting and plastic molding, Vargas Silicone Rubber Sleeves are also suitable for extremely low-temperature environments such as high altitude and aerospace applications.
