Extrusion

Extrusion is a means of profile forming. First design and manufacture a mold according to the section of the profile product, and use an extruder to extrude the heated round cast rod from the mold. The commonly used grade 6063 alloy also uses an air-cooling quenching process and subsequent artificial aging process to complete the heat treatment strengthening during extrusion. Different grades of heat treatable strengthening alloys have different heat treatment systems.

Coloring (here we mainly talk about the process of oxidation)

Oxidation: The surface of the extruded aluminum alloy profile is not strong in corrosion resistance. It must be surface treated by anodizing to increase the corrosion resistance, wear resistance and appearance of the aluminum material.

The main process is:

Surface pretreatment: The pores of the porous oxide film formed after anodization are closed to enhance the anti-fouling, corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the oxide film. The oxide film is colorless and transparent. Using the strong adsorption of the oxide film before sealing, some metal salts are adsorbed and deposited in the film pores, so that the surface of the profile can show many colors other than the original color (silver white), such as: black, bronze, Gold and stainless steel.

Anodizing: Under certain process conditions, the surface of the pretreated profile will undergo anodization on the surface of the substrate to form a dense, porous, and strong Al2O3 film layer.

Sealing: The surface of the profile is cleaned by chemical or physical methods to expose the pure substrate, which is beneficial to obtain a complete and dense artificial oxide film. Mirror or matt (matt) surfaces can also be obtained by mechanical means.

Characteristics and properties of aluminum profiles after various surface treatment processes:

Matte fabric aluminum profile: This type of profile is the most advanced processing technology in the world today. This profile product is of good quality, but the cost is high. It has more than 20 kinds of colors, and its biggest feature is that it can be colored like a printed cloth according to the needs, the surface of the profile is colorful, and the decorative effect is excellent.

Multi-tone surface-treated aluminum profiles: powder electrostatic spray profiles are characterized by excellent corrosion resistance, acid, alkali, and salt spray resistance are much better than oxidation-colored profiles.

Electrophoretic painted aluminum profiles: The surface of the electrophoretic painted profiles is soft and can resist the erosion of cement and mortar acid rain. 90% of the aluminum profiles in Japan are electrophoretic painted.

Powder electrostatic spraying aluminum profiles: the monotonous silver white and brown can no longer satisfy the architects' good cooperation with the exterior wall decorative tiles and exterior wall latex, the new stainless steel color, champagne color, golden yellow, titanium gold, red series (wine Red, burgundy, black, purple), etc. plus stained glass can make the decorative effect even better. These profiles must be chemically or mechanically polished and then oxidized to achieve good results.

Plasma-enhanced electrochemical surface ceramicized aluminum profile: The frosted aluminum profile avoids the shortcomings of bright aluminum alloy profiles in architectural decoration that will cause light interference under certain circumstances and conditions, and its surface is as delicate and soft as brocade. It is very popular in the market, but the existing frosted materials must overcome the uneven surface sand and can see the lack of mold patterns.

Q: What is the thickness of the anodizing? Can you do 12um?
A: Our normal thickness is about 10 um. Yes, we can do 15 microns and above.

Q: What colors can powder coatings be used for? The thickness of the powder coat?
A: We can do any color for powder coating as long as you can provide color samples. Our usual powder coating thickness is 60-80um.

Q: What color can the wood grain be?
A: Our most popular colors are Western Red Cedar, Australian Cedar, Jarrah I, Jarrah II, Chestnut, Bush Cherry, Bush Wood, Western Wood, Snow Gum, etc. If you need any other color, we can provide the color according to you.
