Buttons are almost as old as clothes. Some information shows that the Bronze Age buttons were found during the excavation in India, and the buttons found in Türkiye can be traced back to 10000 BC. Different chemicals are added to the raw materials according to the desired effect. This is the way to achieve a pearlescent, snow-white or metallic appearance. Polyester buttons can imitate almost any material - even completely natural, such as horns. The quality of doing so may make it difficult for non professionals to identify imitations.
