The nature of the proposed application usually gives a clue to the soil type. By determining the soil classification using geotechnical surveys or the Chance Soil Probe and a knowledge of the expected loads it is possible to decide on the most suitable anchor. In general the 60 round HS screw piles are for soils class 4 to 8.
The SS150 and SS175 square anchors and 89 round HS anchors work with soils from 8 to 3 and the rock version of the 89 round screw pile will penetrate soils up to class 1. Specific rock anchors perform well in class 0 soils but require a pre-drilled hole.
A wide range of termination components are produced to connect the pile to the load.

Micro and Mini piles, are a specialised type of piling and include various forms ofdriven pile and screw pile.
Micro Piles are a form of pile that are drilled into the ground, with a drill head attched to the front end of the pile. As the pile is drilled into the ground, it injects grout into the surrounding soil to make the foundation as strong and supportive as possible. They are usually made of high quality galvanised steel, typically in diameters of 60 to 200mm.
Mini piles are a form of Micro piles but are often have a smaller diameter than usual piles, they are used to support lighter structures.
