Perform O/E & E/O conversion and clock extraction & integration.
Possess transmitting & receiving optical power detection function.
Support laser automatic shutdown function and hot plug function of the optical module.
Provide monitor function for higher order path overhead (J1, B3, C2 and G1).
Monitor main alarms of section layer and report the result to XCU card as switching criteria for MS protection.
Implement pointer interpretation and justification in aggregate drop direction, and report the state of each AU-4 signal to XCU card as switching criteria for path protection.
Support seamless switching between working and protection XCU cards.
Support line loop back and equipment loop back.
Support receiving and transmitting optical power report.
Support remote on-line upgrading of FPGA and BCT software.
STM-1 optical interface supports several modes including S-1.1, L-1.1 and L-1.2 by changing optical module.
