Loss Of Fiber Optical PLC Splitter
Loss is a main parameter to evaluate the quality of fiber optical plc splitter . There are many “ loss “ for plc , like insertion loss ( IL ) , polarization dependent loss ( PDL ) , wavelength dependent loss ( WDL ) , temperature dependent loss ( TDL ) and so on . IL and PDL is the most important . But other parameters and condition also have reference value , the test result in different condition may be different , for example , the test result must base on a certain temperature like room temperature 23 ℃ , if the temperature is much higher or lower than the room temperature , the test result may be different .
