The SMC rodless cylinder has been re-designed with industrial strength magnetism. Magnets have been positioned in the piston and external carriage to form a single unit, all controlled by air pressure. As a result, it has thus reduced the weight of the product, with contents formed into a magnetically coupled cylinder.
The CY series has a host of advantages, with auto switches integrated as standard, and no external leakage possible. As a result, CY can be used in any type of environment, and save mounting space. Loads and moments can easily be assesed for different applications depending on the desired accuracy or allowed moment. It also comes in 9 bore sizes ranging from 6mm to 63mm with standard strokes up to 1000mm, and 5 different model variations.
