The Variable Frequency Converter is a voltage-frequency regulator for frequency variation motors. It features a high power factor of 0.95 and a wide frequency range of 47 Hz to 63 Hz. It also has a degree of protection of IP20 and an extended storage temperature range of -40°C to +70°C. Additionally, the Frequency Converter is able to skip frequency ranges of 4, programmable. It is ideal for variable frequency motors, guaranteeing reliable performance and superior support.
The modular construction of the inverter allows maximum configuration flexibility, including 6 programmable isolated digital inputs, 2 scaleable analog inputs (0 V to 10 V, 0 mA to 20 mA) which can also be used as 7th/8th digital input, 2 programmable analog outputs (0 mA to 20 mA) and 3 programmable relay outputs (30 V DC/5 A resistive load; 250 V AC/2A inductive load). The inverter also features low-noise motor operation, thanks to high pulse frequencies, adjustable derating, complete protection for motor and inverter, modular design, a compact housing as a result of high power density, easy cable connection and detachable operator panels.
The performance features of the inverter include the latest IGBT technology, digital microprocessor control, high-quality Vector Control system, Flux Current Control (FCC) for improved dynamic response and optimized motor control, linear V/f characteristic, quadratic V/f characteristic, multipoint characteristic, torque control, flying restart and slip compensation. Additionally, the inverter offers automatic restart following mains failure or fault, user-definable function blocks for logic and arithmetic operations, kinetic buffering, positioning ramp down, a high-grade PID controller with autotuning for simple internal process control, programmable acceleration/deceleration (0 s to 650 s), ramp smoothing, Fast Current Limit (FCL) for trip-free operation, fast, repeatable digital input response time, fine adjustment using two high-resolution 10-bit analog inputs, compound braking for controlled rapid braking, an integrated brake chopper (for 0.12 kW to 75 kW inverters) and four skip frequencies.
The 'Y' capacitor is also removable for use on IT systems, and should be removed and an output choke installed with non-grounded mains supplies.
