  FM200 fire extinguishing system, also known as HFC-227ea, is a gaseous fire suppression system. It is designed to extinguish fires quickly and efficiently in critical areas where water-based fire suppression systems would be detrimental to sensitive equipment or materials.

FM200 is a colorless, odorless, and electrically non-conductive gas that leaves no residue after discharge. It is free of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and has a low global warming potential. The gas is stored in cylinders under high pressure and is released into the protected area through a piping network when the system is activated.

The system comprises of FM200 cylinders, release valves, detection, and actuation devices, piping, and discharge nozzles. The detection and actuation devices include heat detectors, smoke detectors, manual call points, and pre-action systems.
