Improved insulation: The air pockets within the double-layer structure act as a natural insulator, providing better thermal insulation properties. This makes double-layer acrylic sheets useful for applications requiring temperature control or energy efficiency.
Reduced weight: Despite its increased strength, double-layer acrylic sheets are generally lighter than solid acrylic sheets of the same dimensions. This makes them easier to handle and install.
Enhanced light diffusion: The air pockets in the sheet scatter and diffuse light passing through, creating a softer and more evenly distributed light transmission. It is often used in applications where a uniform illumination is desired, such as signage or light fixtures.
