This is the item of gym equipment pads for benches , For benches ,the pad is much more important than the pads on other machines because of only small parts of the steel pipe remaining ,all exercise pressure works on the pads only .
For good pads, the density of the filler inside is the biggest point for pads' life ,the users make exercise on it while the movement and weight could damage the resilience of sponge ,it like the strength seperate the leather and sponge for a loosen outlook ,that means the sponge has been sink .now you have to change it soon . so for commercial use in gym clubs , we normally use high density of sponge to be the filler of pads to avoid this happen no earlier than several monthes ,so never use thinner or low density sponge to save cost , it is not worth to make a new supply actually.
As you can see in the clubs ,the person responsible on repairing works would ask for a new pad if it is suppposed to be done , they may not know how long would be the life of a pad while it depons on many factors like density of sponge and how often the users use ,so it is always to be made by good quality sponge filler to keep a good lifetime .
