The gasket of the plate heat exchanger mainly serves to seal between the heat exchange plates. The materials are nitrile rubber, EPDM rubber, fluorine rubber, etc. Different rubbers are used according to different media. The rubber pad is flexible, which is good for sealing and easy to disassemble! Each pad is designed according to the shape of each heat exchanger plate, which has very good sealing!

Advantage:
Comparing to other types of heat exchanger, plate heat exchangers have larger surface area. They are composed of a number of thin metal plates compressed together. Gasket is attached to the heat transfer plate with forms flow channel and acts seal up the fluid. Different materials have different channels and in their respective flow path alternately. They won't leak to the outside. The number of the heat transfer plate is determined according to the amount of fluid, physical properties of fluid,the pressure drop and thermal condition. Each plate is corrugated to increase the maximum heat transfer area.
