MIM(Metal Injection Molding) introduction

MIM(Metal Injection Molding) is a forming method by injecting the plasticizing mixture of metal powder and binder. It can be consisted of 4 steps:

1, Mix the powder and binder, and then pelletize the mixture;

2, Injection molding;

3, Remove the binder to get the 100% metal parts;

4, The last is sintering.

Some sintering products may need to do further densification processing, heat treatment and machining. Sintered products not only have the same complex shape and high precision as plastic injection forming, but also have similar physical, chemical and mechanical properties as forged parts.

This technology is suitable for mass production of metal parts with small shape, precise and complex 3D shape, and has special performance requirements.

 

Application of MIM:
Metal powder injection molding has been widely used in mechanical industry, electronic industry, automobile
industry, office automatic industry, watch, photoelectric industry, medical devices etc.
1) Computers and auxiliary facilities: printer parts, core, striker shaft pin, drive parts
2)Tools: such as gun drill, drill chuck, power tools, hand tools, wrenches and other spare parts, milling heads, nozzles, etc.
3) Household appliances: such as watch case, bracelet, electric toothbrushes, scissors, fans, golf head,
simulation jewelry,
tool heads and other parts;
4) Medical equipment parts: dental orthopedic frame, orthopedic bracing parts, scissors, tweezers;
5) Electrical parts: such as micro-motor parts, electronic parts, sensors, cell phones etc.
6) Mechanical Parts: complex parts such as small loose cotton, textile machines, sewing machines,

office machinery, and other machinery parts;
7) Automotive, marine parts: clutch inner ring, radial inserts, fork sets, distributor cover, car airbags, car locks;
8) Oil drilling with various special-shaped carbide nozzles.

History:

Dongguan Minda Metal Technology Co.,Ltd. was founded in 2015, has been deeply cultivating for 10 years in the precision hardware accessories custom processing industry.

 

 

Dongguan Minda Metal Technology Co.,Ltd. (DMMT) was established in 2015 as MDM Metal Industrial Corp Limited. Founded in Shenzhen by founder Joey Tan. At the beginning, it mainly operated MIM products and powder metallurgy parts, and focused on providing MIM structural parts PM pars and foreign trade services. Due to the founder's unremitting efforts and accurate grasp of the market, the company soon emerged.

In 2019, MDM Metal expanded its business scope to include CNC product processing as well as lathe processing and aluminum alloy die casting products. This change enabled the company to develop rapidly and further consolidate its position in the market. With the continuous expansion of business, the company moved to Changan town, Dongguan City.

In 2021, MDM made organizational changes to optimize its management structure and improve operational efficiency. In the same year, MDM changed its name to DMMT to better reflect its business scope and brand image.
