Aquatic weed harvester, also known as a water mower, mowing boat and weed cutting boat, is an aquatic machine specifically designed for inland watercourse management to cut and harvest underwater weeds, reeds, water hyacinth and other aquatic plant life.[The action of removing aquatic plant life in such a manner has been referred to as "aquatic harvesting".
Aquatic weed harvester are usually used in river, lake, reservoir and coasts for cutting, collecting, storing and transporting water weeds and floating garbage. The equipment can work automatically and can save much labor force for its high efficiency. The products have many advantages, such as: automatic, easy to operate and maintain, abrasive stainless chain, integrated with cut, collection, salvage and discharge, etc. Its characteristics of simple structure, flexible movement and easy operation make it an important environment friendly machine in water cleaning.
Aquamarine aquatic plant harvesters are hydraulically driven with reciprocating knives mounted on the harvesting head to cut the aquatic vegetation. The vegetation is then transferred onto the conveyor system located on the closed deck barge. The storage conveyors are gradually filled up with tightly packed plants and this harvested biomass is then transferred to the shoreline or into a dump truck via a shore conveyor.
