2. Application of Niobium Rod:
Niobium and niobium alloy rods and wires are widely used in fields such as chemistry, electronics, aviation and aerospace due to their high melting point, corrosion resistance, and good cold working properties.
Niobium and niobium alloy rods are used as structural materials for aero engines and rocket nozzles, internal components of reactors and cladding materials, and to produce various corrosion-resistant parts that are resistant to nitric acid, hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid corrosion conditions. Adding zirconium to niobium can significantly improve the oxidation resistance and strength of the material. Niobium and niobium-zirconium alloy wire are widely used in the manufacture of high-pressure sodium lamps and electrolytic capacitor anode leads.
3. Appearance quality:
The surface of cold-worked and annealed rods is free of cracks, folds, pores, metallic and non-metallic inclusions, heavy skin, residual lubricants, oxides and other dirt.
There are no cracks, folds, heavy skin and other defects on the surface of the hot-processed rods that would affect subsequent processing. The surface of the rod is allowed to have grooves with a depth not exceeding half of the diameter tolerance. Dents, abrasions, scratches, spiral stripes formed during straightening and slight forging marks are allowed.
