1. Description of High Specific Gravity Tungsten Nickel Iron Alloy Block:
The tungsten-nickel-iron alloy blocks are used extensively in the medical industry as radiation shielding walls, CT and tungsten alloy blocks due to their high density, high melting point, small capacity, ultra-high hardness, excellent wear resistance, extremely high tensile strength, and high temperature resistance.
2. Features of Tungsten Nickel Iron Blocks with High Specific Gravity:
High sintering density, strong strength and plasticity, and some ferromagnetism are the distinguishing characteristics of tungsten-nickel-iron alloy. It possesses outstanding thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, good plasticity, and great X-ray or -ray absorption capability.
(1) Specific gravity: 16.5 to 18.75 g/cm3 is the average specific gravity;
(2) High strength: tensile strength is 700-1000Mpa;
(3) High absorption capacity: 30–40% greater than lead;
(4) High thermal conductivity: Die steel has a thermal conductivity that is five times lower than that of tungsten alloy;
(5) Minimal thermal expansion coefficient: steel or iron only has 1/2–3 of that of iron;
(6) Has strong electrical conductivity and is frequently utilized in the lighting and electric welding sectors;
(7) It has good weldability and workability.
3.High Specific Gravity Tungsten Nickel Iron Alloy Block Application:
The aforementioned parameters are met by tungsten nickel iron alloy blocks. Typically, tungsten alloy blocks are used to create extrusion dies, counterweights for weapons, boat counterweights, counterweights for speedboats, counterweights for airplanes, helicopters, and other counterweights.
