Soil water potential is the energy required to extract unit moisture from the soil under isothermal conditions.Test unit :Bar(1 bar = 100 kPa) ;Soil water saturation, water potential is zero; water content below saturation, water potential is negative, the soil is more arid, the greater the negative. The survival range of the general plant is 0 to -15 bar (-1500 kPa). Soil water potential measurement process is not affected by various soil properties, the results can be directly used for irrigation indicators, to overcome the soil moisture thermometer determination process to consider the different nature of the shortcomings of the soil.
