A lobe pump is a type of positive displacement pump that moves fluid through the pump by using two or more lobes (also called rotors) that rotate within a casing. Each lobe is typically shaped like a rounded, elongated cylinder, and as the lobes rotate, they create voids or pockets between them, allowing fluid to be drawn in and then displaced to the pump's outlet.
