Reinforcing ring refers to the reinforcing element of the gold domain ring plate attached around the opening of the pressure vessel body. It is used for the reinforcement of the reinforcement ring (ie, the reinforcement of the board), and it is a pressure component. Generally use the same material as the shell. According to the needs, there are 3 forms of sticking on the inside, outside and double-sided sticking of the shell, and the top is processed and formed and then welded to the shell and the connecting pipe with a full penetration or non-full penetration weld.

 

Overview:

 

The reinforcement ring generally adopts an overlapping structure with the vessel wall, and the material is the same as that of the vessel wall. The size of the reinforcement ring can be determined with reference to the standard, or it can be calculated according to the principle of equal area reinforcement. When the thickness of the reinforcement ring exceeds 8mm, the full penetration structure is generally adopted to make it bear the force at the same time as the wall of the vessel, otherwise the reinforcement will not be effective. For the convenience of welding, the reinforcing ring can be placed on the outer or inner surface of the wall, or symmetrically placed on the inner and outer surfaces, but for the convenience of welding, the reinforcing ring is generally placed on the outside for single-sided reinforcement. In order to check the tightness of the weld, there is a small M10 threaded hole on the reinforcement ring. Compressed air is introduced from here to conduct a weld tightness test. The reinforcement circle is now standardized.


The reinforcing ring has a simple structure, is easy to manufacture, and has a wide range of applications. However, there is a static air gap between the reinforcing ring and the shell, and the heat transfer effect is poor, resulting in a large temperature difference and thermal expansion difference between the two, which is easy to cause temperature stress. When the reinforcement ring is welded to the shell, the rigidity here becomes larger, which has a greater restraint on the cooling shrinkage of the fillet weld, and it is easy to cause cracks at the weld. In particular, high-strength steel has high hardenability, is more sensitive to welding cracks, and is more prone to cracking. Also, because the reinforcing ring and the shell or the connecting metal are not formed as a whole, the fatigue resistance is poor. Therefore, the use range of the reinforcement ring lap welding structure needs to be limited.

 

GB 150-1998 stipulates that when the reinforcement ring structure is used for reinforcement, the following should be followed:
1. The lower limit of the standard tensile strength of steel σb≤540MPa;
2. The thickness of the reinforcing ring is less than or equal to 1.5δn;
3. The nominal thickness of the shell δn≤38mm.
