A cam follower roller bearing (also called “track follower”) is a specialty roller bearing designed to follow tracks or cams and in a wide range of linear motion systems. Cam followers are often used on conveyors, process transfer lines, such as those used int industries such as food and beverage, plastics, glass and among others. Mouette cam followers are also popular for defense and aircraft applications, where maintainability and system reliability are important design considerations. To smoothly and evenly distribute the loads, cam followers usually are designed with a full complement of rolling elements. However, there is more than one type of configuration for cam followers, but the most distinctive characteristic is how the cam follower is mounted to its counterpart.
We offer a complete line of stud type cam followers for industrial applications. These bearings are available in steel, stainless steel, and with engineered plastic internal bushings. We specialize in engineered cam followers to fit specific applications.
Hex Head Stud Type Needle Roller Bearings are recommended where running loads and shock loads are moderate. Bearing capacity of the Stud Type Series is limited by the moderately sized stud. Manufactured from High-Alloy Bearing quality Steel.
