General description
Fluidized bed drying can be used in the entire powder processing industry. In the pharmaceutical industry, this innovative method has replaced the time-consuming tray drying long ago: The drying process with fluidized bed drying reduces the drying time in the drying oven by approximately twenty times. In addition, fluidized bed drying provides controlled and uniform drying conditions compared to the uneven drying in trays.

Principle:
The fresh air is filtered by the two or three filters and then enters the heating system for heating. After heated, the hot air enters into the drying chamber and blows up the material in the bowl of the FBD and lets the material into fluidization conditions. During this period, the material is dried. When customers use the machine, they can set the procedure and parameters according to the process requirements, and then start the machine.
FG-B fluid-bed dryer and FBG 2 bar shock resistance fluid bed dryer are popularly used for powder and particles drying in pharmaceutical, food, feed, chemical industries. A fluidized bed is a bed of solid particles with a stream of air passing upward through the particles at a rate great enough to set them in motion. As the air travels through the particle bed, the particles behave as boiled water. The active motion creates the potential for improved mixing and results an isothermal property. In a bubbling fluidized bed, no temperature gradient exists within the mass of the fluidized particles. Because the temperature and volume of the air can be precisely adjusted, the process achieves fast heat transfer making it very efficient, yet gentle on the product.
The structure of the plant:
1. INLET AHU
The inlet AHU consists of Primary filter(G4), Post filter (F8), high efficiency filter(H13 )and heater with accurate temperature control. The inlet air flow, speed and pressure are variable and controllable. For the heater, it can be steam radiator, electrical heater, gas furnace and so on.
2. MAIN BODY STRUCTURE
The main body structure consists of bottom bowl, movable product bowl with trolley, fluidized chamber, expansion chamber/filter housing. The bottom bowl, product container and fluidized chamber are inflatable silicon gasket sealed with compress air inspection sensor to assure the reliable sealing.
3. PRODUCT FILTER
The double structured bag filter in two pieces (in case request, stainless steel filter available) is inflatable silicon gasket sealed between the expansion chamber inner surfaces with compress air inspection sensor to assure the reliable sealing. A dust sensor is mounted on the exhaust piping and interlocked from control system to secure the product safety during processing stage.
4. EXHAUST AHU
The exhaust dust collection filter is environment-friendly designed.
Feature :
The structure of fluidization bed is of round so as to avoid dead corner. Inside the hopper there is a stirring device in order to avoid agglomeration of raw material and forming canal of flow. The granule is discharged through the method of turning over. It is very convenient and full. The discharged system can be designed as request.
It is operated at the conditions of negative pressure and seal. The air is filtered. Therefore it is simple in operation and convenient for cleaning. It is an ideal equipment that is in conformity with the requirements of GMP.
For the process variants spray granulation, spray agglomeration or spray coating, it should be noted that not only the moisture needs to evaporate until it has reached a defined residual value, but also that drying takes place during the entire spray process. Too high inlet air temperatures can lead to insufficient liquid bridges, instable granulate structures or inhomogeneous looking films.
