SA516 grade 70 hot rolled steel plate has excellent notch toughness and is used in both pressure vessels and industrial boilers. Generally As Rolled is ok for rolling SA516 grade 70 hot rolled steel plate. However, in order to improve SA516 grade 70 hot rolled steel plate property and toughness, it is suggested to do normalizing for SA516 grade 70 hot rolled steel plates especially for the plates above 40mm thick. NACE MR-0175 SA516 grade 70 hot rolled steel plate is also offered by BBN steel with HIC test and SSC test.
