Key Features
High-Temperature Stability:
The addition of titanium helps stabilize the steel, preventing carbide precipitation and thus maintaining corrosion resistance at high temperatures.
Corrosion Resistance:
Excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range of 800–1500°F (427–816°C).
Oxidation Resistance:
Good oxidation resistance in intermittent service to 1600°F (870°C) and in continuous service to 1500°F (816°C).
Weldability:
Good weldability with no risk of sensitization due to the stabilization by titanium.
