ASTM A213 T9 Alloy Steel Studded Fin Tubes
Studded Fin tubes are a type of metal tubes, which are often used as pin tubes, oil furnace tubes or steam reforming furnace tubes.These tubes have studs welded onto the base tube. These studs are arranged in a specific formation throughout the whole base tube. They are widely used in boilers, heat exchangers and refineries. They increase the surface area for higher heat transfer so they are also used for reheating.
ASTM A213 T9 Alloy Steel Studded Fin Tubes have high temperature strength, good resistance to corrosion and oxidation, excellent weldability and formability, and they are also cost effective compared to other high-temperature alloy steel. ASTM A213 T9 Alloy Steel Studded Fin Tube is manufactured by Electrical Resistance Welding formed Studs of various sizes in rows around the base tube. This studded Fin Tube is also called pin fin tube. Studded fin tubes have a high heat transfer efficiency, which is equivalent to 2-3 times that of the bare tubes.
