Titanium and titanium alloy pipe installation
Titanium and titanium alloy pipe transportation and storage should be careful not to contact with iron materials, collision.
1. Titanium and titanium alloy tube should be cut by mechanical method, cutting speed should be at low speed; Special grinding wheel should be used when titanium tube grinding wheel is cut or repaired. Flame cutting shall not be used. The groove should be machined by mechanical method.
2. Titanium and titanium alloy pipes shall be welded by inert gas welding or vacuum welding, not by oxygen-acetylene welding or carbon dioxide gas welding, and not by ordinary manual arc welding.
3. Titanium and titanium alloy pipes shall not be knocked and extruded with iron tools and materials when installed; Rubber plate or soft plastic plate should be inserted between carbon steel support, hanger and titanium and titanium alloy pipe, so that it does not directly contact with titanium and titanium alloy pipe; When titanium and titanium alloy pipes pass through walls and floors, bushing should be installed, the gap should not be less than 10mm, and insulation should be filled, insulation should not contain iron impurities.
4. Titanium and titanium alloy pipes should not be directly welded with other metal pipes. When connections are required, they can be made with looper flanges. The non-metallic gaskets used are generally rubber gaskets or plastic gaskets, and the chloride ion content should not exceed 25ppm.
