3.A999/A999M: Each pipe shall be subjected to the nondestructive electric test or the hydrostatic test, the Thpe of test to be used shall be at the option of the mfg, unless otherwise specified in the PO.

4. The Pipe lengths : Unless otherwise agreed upon, all size from NPS 1/8” TO AND INCLUDING nps 8 are available in a length up to 24ft with the permitted range of 15 to 24 ft. Short length are acceptable and the number and min, length shall be agreed upon between mfg and purchaser.

5. The finished pipe shall be reasonably straight and shall have workmanlike finish, Removal of imperfections by grinding is permitted, provided the W.T are not decreased to the lenss than the permitted in Section 9 of Specification A999/A999M

6. Butt Weld End: According to ANSI B 16.25
7. Pipe Marking: Specified in A999/999M, include “Logo+Standard+SIZE+Heat No.+Lot No.+H.T/E.T/U.T”

8. Packing: Each Pipe end is protected by Plastic cap. Then packed by Anti-rust steel strip, The outside of the bundle is plastic woven bag, or Plastic film.

9. Packing Mark: SIZE + STEEL GRADE+ QTY OF PIECE/WEIGHT/METRE.

10.MTC: BWSS Official Original MTC paper will be supplied for each order.

High general, localized, and stress corrosion resistance properties in addition to high strength and excellent impact toughness.

Grade 2205 Duplex (UNS S32205/S31803)

Duplex 2205 is the most widely used duplex (ferritic/austenitic) stainless steel grade. It finds applications due to both excellent corrosion resistance and high strength.

The standard S31803 composition has over the years been refined by many steel suppliers, and the resulting restricted composition range was endorsed as UNS S32205 in 1996. S32205 gives better guaranteed corrosion resistance, but much of the S31803 currently produced also complies with S32205.

2205 is not generally suitable for use at temperatures above 300°C as it suffers from precipitation of brittle micro-constituents, nor below -50°C because of its ductile-to-brittle-transition.

Applications of Duplex 2205

• Chemical process vessels, piping and heat exchangers
• Pulp mill digesters, bleach washers, chip pre-steaming vessels
• Food processing equipment
• Oil field piping and heat exchangers
• Flue gas desulfurization equipment

Corronsion Resistance

• Excellent general corrosion resistance; superior to Grade 316 in most environments. Excellent resistance to localised corrosion including intergranular, pitting and crevice corrosion; the CPT of 2205 is generally at least 35°C. The grade is also resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking (SCC) at temperatures of up to about 150°C. Grade 2205 will often perform well in environments which cause premature failure of austenitic grades. It has better resistance to sea water than grade 316.

Heat Resistance

• Although 2205 has good high temperature oxidation resistance this grade, like other duplex stainless steels, suffers from embrittlement if held for even short times at temperatures above 300°C. If embrittled this can only be rectified by a full solution annealing treatment. Duplex stainless steels are almost never used above 300°C.
