TORLEO series intelligent valve positioner also has online replacement function (copy initialization function), using the method of parameter backup, use the HART field communicator to download and save the control parameters and characteristic parameters of the positioner in advance, or load it into the backup positioner. In this way, when the positioner fails and cannot be shut down for maintenance, the valve position of the control valve of the faulty positioner can be fixed urgently, and the backup control parameters and characteristic parameters (backup positioner) can be used for online replacement. Simple adjustment of valve position eliminates the need to initiate an initial auto-tuning. Maybe there will be some deviations in the zero/end point of the positioner valve position after online replacement, but it can meet the emergency on the production site. Perform the positioner initialization again while waiting for the production site approval.
