Hot dip zinc is one of the best coating methods to protect steel substrate. It is in the liquid state of zinc, after a rather complex physical and chemical action, on the iron and steel not only coated with a thick layer of pure zinc, but also generate a zinc-iron alloy layer. This plating method not only has the corrosion resistance of electrogalvanizing, but also has a zinc-iron alloy layer. It also has strong corrosion resistance that can not be compared with electric galvanizing. Therefore, this plating method is especially suitable for all kinds of strong acid, alkali fog and other strong corrosive environment.
principle
Hot dip galvanizing layer is formed by zinc in a high temperature liquid in three steps:
1. The surface of iron base is dissolved by zinc liquid to form zinc-ferroalloy phase layer;
2. Zinc ions in the alloy layer further diffuse to the matrix to form a zinc-iron intersoluble layer;
3. The surface of the alloy layer is surrounded by a zinc layer.
