Product Overview

The following factors should be considered in the selection of pneumatic fenders:

(1) Maximum energy absorption E; (2) Reaction force; (3) Distance requirements after berthing of two ships or the berthing distance from the ship to the dock, including the maximum distance and the minimum distance; (4) The size of the ship; (5) Factors such as wind waves and temperature changes in the actual use environment.

The selection of pneumatic fender system first needs to determine the collision energy of the ship when berthing and after berthing, and select the specifications of pneumatic fender according to the distance requirements (maximum distance and minimum distance) after berthing, and verify whether the maximum reaction force of pneumatic fender is within the allowable range of hull design. 
 
If it is necessary to improve the energy absorption of the pneumatic fender, increasing its diameter is an ideal choice. The number and spacing of pneumatic fenders are determined according to the size and actual use of the ship.
 
Yokohama pneumatic marine rubber fender can be delivered in various sizes and types. Chain and tyre net (CTN) type is usually recommended to protect the fender body, but sling type or body only is also available.
1.Outer Rubber 
 Cover outside on the ball of rubber layer, which is used to protect skeleton material and inner rubber ball from damage of external force.
 2.Cord layers
 Reinforced cord rubber layer is composed of winding synthetic cord layer, it is mainly used for maintain the internal air pressure.
 3. Inner Rubber 
 On the ball inside the rubber layer, which is used to prevent air leakage and control the ball pressure. 
 4. End Flange
 The metal parts at both ends of fender, which can be fitted with charging valve and safety valve.

Synthetic-tyre-cord layers commonly used in tyres, have been proved to provide strong efficient reinforcement layers in fenders. Each layer is coated with rubber compound on both sides as well as in between synthetic-tyre-cord threads, hence isolating all cords from each other.
